SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Sacramento man was hospitalized early Saturday following a stabbing incident, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Police were called to the scene on the 3800 block of 17th Avenue shortly before 3:30 a.m. after reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found a male adult with at least one stab wound, which was determined to be non-life-threatening.

"The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment," the police department stated in a media release. Authorities noted that the suspects had fled the scene before officers arrived.

A detailed investigation has been launched, and a report has been generated, although no arrests have been made as of yet. The Sacramento Police Department has not released further details about the suspects or the circumstances leading to the stabbing.

The investigation is ongoing.
