A motorcyclist was arrested early Monday morning after leading Sheriff’s deputies on a high-speed pursuit.

The motorcyclist led deputies throughout much of North Highlands, with speeds reported between 80 and 100 MPH at various points.

The pursuit ended when the motorcyclist exited westbound Interstate 80 onto Madison Avenue, and then crashed just after the off-ramp. The motorcyclist was then taken into custody by Sheriff’s deputies.

Paramedics were called to the termination point to check the motorcyclist for injuries, and was medically cleared.
