ELK GROVE, CA – On November 13, 2019, at 1:32 a.m., the Elk Grove Police Department responded to a single vehicle collision on Laguna Boulevard, just west of Haussman Street.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado had been involved in a single vehicle collision. The driver, a 27-year-old male, was found unconscious in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the driver deceased. Identification of the deceased will be made by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

Based on information obtained during the preliminary investigation, traffic investigators have determined that the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound on Laguna Boulevard just east of Laguna Main Street when the vehicle struck the center median. The vehicle then traveled along the center median before crossing over the eastbound lanes of traffic on Laguna Boulevard and striking a tree along the south side of Laguna Boulevard. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
