Just before 10 a.m. Tuesday, the Sacramento Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a major accident on Elverta Road about 1 mile east of Highway 99.
According to initial reports, the vehicle had struck a pole and an occupant had been ejected and was laying in the roadway.
