CARMICHAEL, Calif. – Firefighters worked to extinguish a house fire in Carmichael on Sunday.

Firefighters from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to a reported structure fire on the 4800 block of Saint Lynn Lane in Carmichael around 3:35 Sunday afternoon.

When firefighters arrived, they found light smoke showing from a one-story single family residence. Upon entering the residence, it was determined the fire was contained to one bedroom inside. A quick knockdown on the fire was made around 3:50 PM.

Per fire radio traffic, the residence was determined to have a hoarding situation inside, making finding the fire originally a little difficult for firefighters.

It was unknown at the time of posting what the cause of the fire was, as fire investigators had yet to arrive on scene. No injuries were reported to either civilians or firefighters.
