SACRAMENTO, CA – Two people were arrested Thursday evening on suspicion of home burglary in South Sacramento two hours earlier.

A Sacramento County Sheriff’s spokesperson tells PSN that at approximately 5:20PM, the department received a call from a homeowner within the 9400 block of Pournelle Way who reported two black male subjects had just broken into her home while they were inside. The residents ran to a neighbors as soon as they heard the glass break. The resident was able to provide our deputies a brief description of the suspect and suspect vehicle which was a silver Toyota 4-door with a partial license plate number. At least one firearm was taken from within their residence along with various other personal items. Deputies conducted as much follow up on the potential whereabouts of the burglary suspects as possible, which yielded negative results. They took a burglary report and Crime Scene Investigators processed the residence.

At approximately 7:30PM, patrol deputies came across a silver Toyota 4-door vehicle parked at an apartment complex in the 5900 block of Riza Avenue, which had the same numbers in the license plate as provided by the victim from the Pournelle Way residential burglary. The deputies observed in plain view, miscellaneous personal items inside of the vehicle including a wallet and some clothing. The information obtained from the vehicle was that it was a rental car. The deputies followed up with the rental car company and discovered the renter to have provided an address of record at the Riza Avenue location.

Deputies eventually made contact with the residents within the apartment of record and identified two of the three occupants as possible suspects in the Pournelle Way burglary, due to physical similarities. Eventually, the burglary victims were able to identify both suspects as those they witnessed breaking into their home earlier in the night. A search of the apartment and rental vehicle revealed stolen property, including a reported stolen handgun in the apartment and also three guns (2-reported stolen) found within the vehicle. The two subjects were arrested and the rental vehicle was impounded for evidence purposes.

The two arrested subjects arrested are:
Frank Quarles, 25, of Riza Avenue in Sacramento; charged with felony Conspiracy, felony Burglary and felony Possession of Stolen Property.
Travoye Lamont Emanuel, 22, of Sacramento; charged with felony Conspiracy, felony Burglary, felony Possession of Stolen property and outstanding warrants for his arrest.
