Sacramento, CA | The 2009 homicide at Sacramento Kings’ NBA star, Chris Webber’s night club is in court.

The homicide case of David Blanks who was gunned down in the “Center Court” parking lot on October 24, 2009 is now in Sacramento’s Superior Court and nearing a close.

On October 24, 2009, at 1:52 a.m., the Police Department was notified by a security guard that someone had been shot in the parking lot of the 3600 block of N. Freeway Boulevard. Officers arrived and found a male victim who had been shot. The victim died at the scene.

Homicide and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. At this time, detectives believe that the victim was leaving the night club and walking to his car when he was contacted by a group of subjects. One of the suspects shot and killed the victim. The suspect is described as being a male Black, light skinned, around 5”9″-5’11”, thin, and short hair. The motive for the crime is still under investigation.
