Sacramento, CA | Water gushing from beneath the street floods downtown area Thursday afternoon.

According to a resident of the effected street, water came up and onto the street from under the pavement for about an hour Thursday afternoon. The pavement where the water was coming from looked displaced, and sunken.

City crews arrived to handle the situation. The displaced area of pavement looked like it had some kind of work done prior. Water was rushing quickly onto U and V Streets. No other damage or injury seemed apparent.

Road closure signs were posted at both ends of 28th.
