Sacramento, CA | A subject, believed to be mentally unstable, went on a rampage shooting at vehicles Tuesday morning.

Officers detained a person Tuesday morning, whom they believe to be mentally unstable, at the Chevron station on the corner of Northgate Blvd. and W. El Camino Ave.

The subject allegedly went on a spree of shooting a high volocity BB pistol at vehicles, shooting out windows. The gunman also directly targeted a city trash truck breaking out the passenger side window and leaving several hits on the passenger and driver side windshield.

The subject returned to the gas station and was pumping gas when officers arrived and executed a felony stop. The unstable subject complied and was taken into custody.

The weapon was recovered, said to look like the new James Bond style weapon, a container of BB’s and compressed air cartridges. No one was injured and subject was compliant during the arrest.
