DETAILS FROM THE SACRAMENTO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Early this morning, officers were in the 1100 Block of 15th Street when they were notified of an armed robbery that had just occurred.
Officers attempted to detain the suspects who were still on-scene, but the suspects fled on foot. A foot pursuit ensued, and additional officers responded to assist.
Both suspects were safely detained by pursuing officers. One suspect discarded an illegally possessed handgun while running and a second illegally possessed handgun was located on the other suspect.
The stolen property was recovered by officers and the suspects were arrested for related charges.
