DETAILS FORM THE SACRAMENTO COUNTY SHERIFF’s OFFICE

At approximately 1:15 A.M. on Monday, March 6, 2023, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on Rogue River Drive regarding an incomplete 911 call. An anonymous caller reported that people were being shot near the location. Deputies arrived shortly thereafter and discovered four victims suffering from gunshot wounds inside the residence. Two victims were pronounced deceased at the scene by Sacramento Metro Fire Department personnel, while the other two were transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The two surviving victims remain in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Two other individuals were present inside the residence when deputies arrived. They were subsequently held for questioning. Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene a short time later, interviewed witnesses, and gathered evidence. No further information or suspect information is available at this time. The identity of the victims will be made available by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after notification has been made to their next of kin.
