DETAILS FROM THE SACRAMENTO COUNTY SHERIFF’s OFFICE

At approximately 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday December 1, 2021, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call from a neighboring law enforcement agency who said they had contacted a resident on the 6500 Rio Linda Boulevard via telephone. The law enforcement agency stated they were concerned a medical emergency had occurred in the home after speaking with an adult subject they had contacted in an unrelated matter.

Metro Fire responded first to the residence to render medical aid but located an adult female victim with severe trauma and obviously deceased. Deputies responded to the residence shortly thereafter and secured the scene. Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Detectives canvassed the area for witnesses as CSI collected evidence.

Homicide detectives have detained who they believe is the sole suspect for this murder. No suspect or further information is available at this time. The identity of the victim in this case will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after identification.
