STATEMENT FROM THE SACRAMENTO COUNTY SHERIFF’s OFFICE

At 3:13 a.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2021, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call from an adult female subject located near Greenback Lane and Fair Oaks Boulevard in Sacramento County. The caller stated she had been a victim of domestic violence and that the adult male subject was still at the residence.

North Patrol Deputies arrived at the home just as the male was exiting and walking towards a vehicle, which he had previously stowed a cache of firearms, to leave the area. The suspect was initially uncooperative but deputies were able to deescalated and detained him without incident. The suspect had a concealed firearm on himself and 11 firearms inside the vehicle, of which three of the weapons had formerly been reported stolen. A search of the vehicle revealed several extended magazines, high capacity drums and a silencer considered illegal under California Penal Code. All of the items seized are being held by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Property Warehouse.

Jesus Martin Gutierrez (27) was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on 19 felony charges including corporal injury, carrying a loaded firearm on one’s person, carrying a stolen loaded firearm in a vehicle, manufacture/sell/possess large capacity magazines, possession of firearm silencer and receiving stolen property. At this time, no further suspects are outstanding. No further information is available.
