THIS IS A DIRECT REPOST FROM THE SACRAMENTO COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

At approximately 01:39 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021, the Sheriff’s Communications Center received a call regarding a subject who had been shot in the 5300 block of Auburn Boulevard in Sacramento County.

Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male who sustained at least one gunshot wound. Deputies provided emergency medical aid to the victim, however, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding personnel from the Sacramento Metro Fire Department.

Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene, interviewed witnesses, and gathered evidence. No further information or suspect information is available at this time.

The identity of the victim, in this case, will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after identification and notification of next of kin.
