About 2 a.m. Saturday, the Sacramento Police Department began receiving reports of a shooting which took place at a house party in the 3900 block of Clay Street.

According to radio reports, several people fled the scene with reports of armed subjects fleeing into the neighborhood and departing in vehicles.

While some officers responded to the initial scene, additional officers setup up a perimeter for several surrounding blocks. There were reports of several subjects being detained and weapons being located.

The Sacramento Police Department stated…

“We responded to a report of a shooting that occurred around 2 a.m. in the 3900 block of Clay St at what appeared to be some type of party. Officers located two adult victims, one male and one female, who had sustained gunshot wounds. The female was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition. The male sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.”

The first victim, a female, was located at the initial shooting scene, sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body, according to radio reports. The second victim, had left the scene in a vehicle, with friends, and was located at the Dry Creek overcrossing, with a single gunshot wound to buttocks.

According to radio reports, a weapon was also located in the vehicle on Dry Creek with the gunshot victim.
