Just before midnight Wednesday, crews from the Sacramento Fire Department were dispatched to reports of a residential structure fire in the 6400 block of Lang Avenue in the South Sacramento area.
As crews were in route, reports came in of persons trapped in the blaze. When crews arrived, they found the structure well involved with fire. According to radio reports, a victim was rescued from a back corner of the home. The attic portion of the fire continued to be an issue, but was quickly contained and knocked down. No further details were available at the time of this posting.
