Just before 3:30 Thursday afternoon, the Sacramento Police Department, Sacramento Fire Department and Watchmen Specialty Protection (River District Security Provider), responded to reports of a shooting at Americas Best Value Inn (ABV).

According to radio reports, the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the lower extremities. On arrival, officers applied a tourniquet to the victims leg to control the bleeding.

The victim was transported to the hospital via paramedics to the hospital in unknown condition.

The suspect fled in a vehicle, eastbound on Richards Blvd.

A previous shooting took place at ABV, November 15th of last year where reportedly a subject fired off of the balcony at a subject below in the parking area. In the November shooting, the victim self transported to the hospital.

While researching the November 15th shooting incident, looking for more details, it is not noted in the online Sacramento Police Department Daily Event Log nor does it appear in the online LexisNexis “communitycrimemap.com”.
