“Two arrests were made in connection to the shooting that occurred in Dunnigan on November 19, 2020.

“This was the result of a collaboration with the United States Marshalls. YCSO is also thankful for the assistance of the Sacramento Police Department who worked to take the two into custody last night on 1300 block of 19th Street in Sacramento.

“Julian Garcia, 35, of Dunnigan, was booked into the Yolo County Jail for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. Monica Flores, 38, of Sacramento, was also booked into the Yolo County jail for being an accessory to the crime.”

“A shooting in Dunnigan this morning resulted in a large law enforcement response.

“Shortly after 7:30 am deputies were advised that there was a victim of a gun shot at the California Motel in Dunnigan. The victim was transported from the scene prior to the deputies' arrival and taken to a local hospital.

“The Yolo County Sheriff's Office received support from the California Highway Patrol, Woodland Police Department, West Sacramento Police Department, Davis Police Department, and Sacramento Police Department as the motel was temporarily evacuated as a search for suspects was conducted.

“The suspect(s) was not located. The victim is in critical condition at this time.
