SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A car burst into flames overnight after crashing into another vehicle in Natomas.
Just after 12:50 a.m. Monday, Sacramento police officers and paramedics responded to the intersection of Truxel Road and Gateway Park Boulevard. Multiple callers were reporting two cars had just crashed, and one of the cars was catching on fire.
When units arrived, they found a car that had knocked down a signal light fully engulfed at the intersection. Another vehicle, belonging to Pride Industries, was found just north of the intersection with major passenger-side damage and air-bags deployed.
Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames on the car fire. All occupants of both vehicles were able to get out. Paramedics tended to their injuries, and transported at least two to local hospitals for further treatment.
The cause of the crash was unknown at the time of posting.
