SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. – Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the shooting death overnight.
Just after 1 a.m. this morning, Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of shots heard on the 5100 block of Karm Way in the Foothill Farms community.
Deputies responded and found a 22-year-old male victim in the driveway of a home suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body. Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim deceased on scene.
Witnesses told deputies they saw a dark colored small vehicle fleeing the area after the shooting.
The Sheriff’s department has not yet released a suspect description, and there is no known motive or suspect description at this time.
The identity of the victim will be made available by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after notification has been made to his next-of-kin.
