SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A vacant home caught fire in South Sacramento.

Just before 1 a.m. Friday, Sacramento firefighters responded to reports of a home on fire on the 3000 block of 34th Avenue near Franklin Boulevard.

When firefighters arrived, they found a one-story home with heavy fire and smoke showing from the rear side.

Firefighters started their fire attack and had knock down within a matter of minutes.

The home was vacant and had a for sale sign out front. Neighbors tell Public Safety News the home was a common place for vagrants to frequent.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. No injuries were reported.
