Sacramento, CA | Another fire on Otto Circle strikes at Tidee Didee laundry service while neighboring business owner saves the day.

A neighboring business owner in an industrial area off of 47th Ave and Otto Circle, came out of his business Friday evening and saw smoke and flames coming from another business.

Terry Lewallen called 911 as he was rushing to the business, forced entry to the yard, grabbed a nearby pallet jacket and got the burning materials away from the building and van that was already getting burnt.

This is the second similar fire at this business in a few weeks. The owner stated it was bar rags that burned from the same client as the last fire. After consulting with an investigator via phone, the on scene fire captain sited the cause as a spontaneous combustion fire in the rags. The owner of Tidee Didee stated that the same client was a customer Dust-Tex Services Inc. who suffered a devastating 2 alarm fire on June 20th of this year as well. Firefighters advised PSN that fire was ruled as arson by independent fire investigators for the insurance carrier.

Hero of the day, Terry Lewallen, talks to PSN about the incident…
