Sacramento, CA | Two men are dead from an apparent murder-suicide that took place in the SMUD parking lot Tuesday evening.
Two people died of gun-shot wounds in the parking lot of the old SMUD building in the 6200 block of S Street Tuesday evening.
Per SacPD, This is potentially the result of a love-triangle relationship situation.
The suspect allegedly came to SMUD where a meeting was on going unrelated to SMUD. SMUD rents out meetings rooms and decedents are not SMUD employees.
Allegedly an argument ensued in the parking lot between two elderly men and a woman. The suspect shot the male victim then allegedly chased after the female while firing the weapon at her. When the female made it safely to the lobby, another male attempted to calm the shooter who then went back out to the parking lot and fatally shot himself.
Firefighter/Paramedics responded to the scene pronouncing both males dead. CSI, Homicide Detectives and community chaplains also responded to the scene.
