DETAILS FROM THE SACRAMENTO POLICE DEPARTMENT
On April 21, 2022, shortly before 3 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 1100 block of T Street for a report of an assault. When officers arrived on scene, they located two individuals who each sustained at least one gunshot wound. Both individuals, one female adult and one male adult, were pronounced deceased at the scene by responding medical personnel.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to take over the investigation. They will be conducting a thorough canvass of the area for evidence and witnesses. This investigation is in its early stages and the circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation, however this is believed to be an isolated incident.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after next of kin have been notified.
