The Sacramento Police Department has made an arrest in a homicide that occurred Wednesday, March 11, 2020 on the 1900 block of San Juan Road.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., patrol officers responded to the 1900 block of San Juan Road in Natomas and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. An adult male was found with stab wounds, and the Sacramento Fire Department was called to provide medical aid. Upon their arrival, fire personnel declared the victim deceased.

Another adult male who was identified as Fabrizio Leal, 27, and known to the victim was detained on scene. Leal was booked at the Sacramento County Main Jail for homicide. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, but police believe this is an isolated incident and that there are no outstanding suspects.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next of kin have been notified.
