THIS IS A DIRECT REPOST FROM THE SACRAMENTO SHERIFF's OFFICE MEDIA RELEASE

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Sunday January 19, 2020, deputies assigned to the Rancho Cordova Police Department responded to the 10300 block of Georgetown Drive regarding reports of a vehicle that crashed into a residence.

Fire personnel responded and transported 2 victims, who were inside the residence at the time of the crash, to area hospitals. They are both expected to survive. 1 victim, an adult female, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as 45-year-old Gary Circle from Rancho Cordova (see attached photo). After an investigation, Circle was arrested for vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated among other charges. He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.

The identity of the victim in this case will be made available by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after notification has been made to his next of kin.
