Just before noon Friday, the Sacramento Police Department responded to reports of a Bank Robbery at the California Bank and Trust on Arden Way, directly across from the Arden Fair Mall.
According to radio reports, arriving officers determined that a robbery at gunpoint had occurred and the suspect escaped with a large sum of cash.
Just some side notes: The robber was female, bank robberies are typically committed by males. Another significant point- this bank is located directly across from the Arden Fair Mall main entrance, probably the busiest intersection, at the busiest time on the busiest shopping day of the year.
The suspect was described as a black, female wearing all black, a black cap and carrying a black handgun. She was said to be in her 30's and fled toward Arden Way.
CSI responded to the scene to collect evidence and an investigation is ongoing.
There were no reported injuries.
