SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Sheriff’s deputies investigated a fatal shooting in the Arden-Arcade area.
Around 10:30 Saturday, deputies responded to a home on the 3300 block of Churchill Road for a caller reporting a male subject inside the home had just shot himself.
When deputies arrived, they found an unresponsive male with an obvious gunshot wound. Paramedics responded to the scene and declared the victim deceased.
An investigation into the shooting is underway. According to Sheriff’s department radio traffic, the shooting may have been accidentally self-inflicted.
The name of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner after notification of the victim’s next-of-kin.
