SACRAMENTO, CA – Sacramento firefighters battled a 2-alarm house fire in South Sacramento late Friday night.

Sacramento Fire received reports of a house fire at 5020 Hillard Street in South Sacramento around 11:45 Friday night. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a single family residence with fire showing through the roof. Incident command called for a second alarm response to be dispatched.

The home appeared to had been occupied at the time of the fire. At time of posting, no injuries had been announced.

The fire had been knocked down by 1:00 Saturday morning when PSN’s photojournalist arrived on scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
