RANCHO CORDOVA, CA – Detectives are seeking the assistance of the public to identify the suspects responsible for the homicide of a teen in Rancho Cordova this past May.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 9800 block of Lincoln Village Drive back on Saturday, May 16, 2015. The victim, identified as 19-year-old Albert Alexander. Alexander was seen conversing with the occupants of the suspect vehicle, possibly a rental vehicle, when one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and shot the victim.

Composite sketches have been completed on one of the suspects. This suspect has been described as a black male adult in his 20s with long dreadlocks and wearing a grey hoodie at the time.

Photographs of the suspect vehicle were captured from a nearby surveillance camera moments before the shooting occurred. Due to the quality of the video, a license plate could not be made out. The vehicle is described as a light grey or silver 2015 Hyundai Sonata 4-door sedan. The vehicle appears to be a stock model with no additional window tint. There is also a shark fin antenna in the center of the rear window near the roof line.

It is still unknown what the relationship was between the victim and the suspects. Sheriff’s Detectives are asking anyone that has any information on the identity of the suspects or who may have knowledge of the movements of the vehicle described above, to please contact the Sheriff’s Department at (916) 874-5115 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP. Tip information may also be left anonymously at www.sacsheriff.com, by texting 274637 (CRIMES) and entering the keyword ‘SSD’, or by calling (916) 874-TIPS (8477).
