Sacramento, CA | Witnesses say the driver of a truck was all over, cutting cars off and cursing at other drivers

Sunday afternoon, Sacramento Fire Department and California Highway Patrol responded to a major injury collision with extrication at the intersection of 47th Avenue and Steiner Drive.

Witnesses stated the driver of the truck was “road raging” cutting people off, and shouting at drivers coming off of Hwy 99 at 47th Ave. He was traveling East on 47th when, per witnesses, he went through the red light and struck a north bound vehicle from Steiner making a left turn (west) onto 47th Ave.

The truck flew across the west bound lanes of 47th Ave, crashing through a fence and a fire hydrant flooding the area.

He was transported with minor injuries while the passenger of the struck vehicle was transported with minor to moderate injuries.

The driver of the struck vehicle had to be extricated and was transported with moderate to severe injuries. CHP stated the incident is under investigation and it unknown if alcohol was a factor at this point.
