Early Saturday morning (July 31 2010), Sacramento Police received a call from a witness who heard a motorcycle engine roar and looked west down Pocket Rd to see sparks flying. According to SacPD, the driver of a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling an excessive speed when he apparently lost control just past West Shore Drive. The driver was wearing a helmet, but sustained fatal injuries.
