Sacramento, CA | Arson fires set near equestrian barns.
Approximately 9:34 PM Sunday evening, CHP received a 911 call for a fire in the area of Longview Drive and Watt Ave. There were also reports that a fire was burning in brush and headed towards a barn where there were many horses. When firefighters arrived, they found at least three fires that had been started. All fires were quickly extinguished before they reached the barn area. A spokesman for Sac Metro Fire stated that the fires are under investigation. He also stated that the fires were set in succession along a trail but far enough apart where it could only lead to the conclusion of arson.
