This week, via the Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers, the Sacramento Police Department released the name of the homicide suspect as 19-year-old Wendell Gerrold Celestine. Two photographs of the suspect were also released.<\/p>\n

According to a previous press release<\/a>, Sacramento police officers responded to the 2000 block of West El Camino Avenue around 2 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 for reports of someone being shot. When officers arrived, they found the victim, later identified as 21-year-old Sacramento resident Luis Diaz-Cervantes, suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics declared Cervantes deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n

The Crime Stoppers website shows Celestine's last known address on El Baset Court in Fairfield. Celestine is considered to be armed and dangerous.<\/p>\n

Anyone with any information to the whereabouts of Wendell Celestine are asked to contact the Sacramento Police Departmetn dispatch center at (916) 264-5471 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-4357. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.<\/p>\n
