Further reports indicated there may have been a victim down on the roadway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sheriff&#8217;s deputies arrived and located a 22-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputies immediately began life-saving measures on the victim. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The Sheriff&#8217;s department has not released any suspect descriptions at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The identity of the victim was released by the Sacramento County Coroner as Octavio Rodriguez, 22, of Sacramento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sheriff&#8217;s department is asking anyone with information pertaining to this incident to contact them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SACRAMENTO, Calif. &#8211; Sheriff&#8217;s detectives are investigating the death of a 22-year-old after a shooting in south Sacramento.
