DETAILS FROM THE SACRAMENTO COUNTY SHERIFF’s OFFICE

Sacramento County Probation officers assigned to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Gang Suppression Unit (GSU) identified 20-year-old Isaiah JACKSON as being involved in the illegal trafficking of firearms. JACKSON was already legally prohibited from possessing firearms, but the investigation showed JACKSON was attempting to sell them as well. Detectives authored a search warrant based on their investigation.

On January 11, 2023, detectives served the search warrant at JACKSON’s residence. The search yielded a stolen handgun and an AR pistol. The AR pistol appeared to be the same firearm officers believed JACKSON was attempting to sell.

JACKSON was booked into the Main Jail on firearms-related charges but was released on bond less than four hours after being booked in.
