MAJOR UPDATE FROM THE SACRAMENTO POLICE DEPARTMENT<\/h4>\n

\u201cThanks to the quick response of officers from the Sacramento Police Department and neighboring police agencies, as well as the diligent work of Sacramento Police detectives, two suspects have been arrested in connection with this shooting. The suspects have been identified as 22-year-old Marcus Trull and 21-year-old Cedric Salcedo. Trull and Salcedo were detained during the initial investigation and were later booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for homicide and felony assault charges. <\/p>\n

\u201cAt this time, it is believed there are no outstanding suspects. <\/p>\n

Just before 11:45 p.m. on July 16, officers on patrol reported hearing shots fired in the area of Front Street and L Street in Old Sacramento. Due to the nature of the scene, officers from across the city as well as those from neighboring law enforcement agencies responded to assist. In total, six shooting victims were located surrounding this incident. Of the six, two victims who are believed to be adult males were deceased. The other four victims received treatment at local hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries. <\/p>\n
