Police jumped into action to alert residents of the danger and help them evacuate. Firefighters were quickly on the scene, but not before the fire was upgraded to a second alarm. Power lines were also down, which added an extra hazard for firefighters.<\/p>\n<p>The whole intersection was shut down while crews fought the flames. Glenrose Ave was also closed to traffic between Del Paso Blvd and Lexington St.<\/p>\n<p>A second home was also damaged in the fire, but was quickly extinguished.<\/p>\n<p>Sacramento Police Department stated that, &quot;officers responded to a Shotspotter activation. Upon arrival officers found that there was a fully engulfed structure fire of a vacant house. Officers immediately evacuated the surrounding houses and no injuries were reported.
