The Sacramento Fire Department and California Highway Patrol assisted the driver and passenger out of an overturned SUV Tuesday morning along southbound Highway 99 near Fruitridge Rd.
The driver from the rollover incident was transported to a local hospital for injuries to a few of his fingers witch were reportedly amputated during the crash, the passenger was also transported in unknown condition.
The left lanes of the highway were blocked while crews worked to clear the scene.
