SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — Two men were killed and a female juvenile was injured in a shooting late Sunday night at a party in the 2000 block of West El Camino Avenue, authorities said.
Sacramento Police Department Officer Anthony Gamble, the department’s public information officer, stated that around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting at the location. Upon arrival, they found three victims with apparent gunshot wounds and provided medical assistance.
“One female juvenile was transported to an area hospital and is in stable condition,” Gamble said. “Two males were pronounced deceased on scene.”
Gamble confirmed that a party preceded the shooting and noted that it would be a focus of the investigation. “I can confirm that there was a party that preceded the shooting. That will be a part of the investigation,” he added.
Due to the severity of the incident, homicide detectives and crime scene investigators have taken over the investigation. They are currently processing the scene, collecting evidence, and interviewing witnesses.
At this time, authorities have no suspect information to release. Gamble urged the community for assistance, stating, “We do not have any suspect info to release at this time. The Sacramento Police Department has not provided further details as the investigation continues.
