SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — A shooting on the 2500 block of Altos Ave just after 5:45 p.m. resulted in the death of a male adult victim. He was transported to a nearby hospital with at least one gunshot wound and later succumbed to his injuries.
"We do not have any suspects in custody at this time," said a Sacramento Police Department spokesperson. "We ask our community, if you saw something, heard something, or see or hear something after the fact, to please contact our police department."
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators have taken over the investigation. They are processing the scene, speaking with witnesses, and collecting evidence.
The victim's identity will be released by the coroner's office once the next of kin has been notified.
