Shooting Turns Fatal in DelPasoHeights Sunday | Sacramento cover

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — On Monday, July 8, 2024, just before 10:00 a.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 3100 block of Northstead Drive following reports of a medical aid call. Upon arrival, officers found an adult female suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Fire personnel on the scene pronounced her deceased.

Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators have taken over the investigation due to the nature of the incident. They are currently processing the scene, canvassing the area, and interviewing witnesses. "The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation. No arrests have been made, and there is no suspect information to provide at this time," stated a spokesperson for the Sacramento Police Department.

The identity of the deceased will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin have been notified.
