SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — A high-speed pursuit in downtown Sacramento early this morning ended with a crash that left three people injured and the driver facing multiple charges.
Just after 2 a.m., Sacramento police officers responded to reports of a fight at a local bar. As officers were on their way to the scene, they observed a vehicle revving its engine at a traffic light. According to a statement from the Sacramento Police Department, "Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver failed to yield and a pursuit ensued."
The chase concluded when the vehicle collided with a pole near the intersection of L Street and 3rd Street. The impact of the crash injured the driver and two passengers.
The driver, whose identity has not yet been released, was arrested on charges of pursuit and felony DUI. "He will be booked after being medically cleared," the police statement confirmed.
