SACRAMENTO, CA (PSN) — At approximately 1:07 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 3000 block of Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, according to a media release from the Sacramento Police Department. Upon arrival, officers found a juvenile male with at least one non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The juvenile was promptly transported to a local hospital by fire personnel.
During the investigation, officers discovered two adult males at a nearby hospital. Both had sustained at least one non-life-threatening gunshot wound and appeared to have self-transported to the hospital.
"Additionally, officers located a building that was struck by gunfire," the media release stated.
The incident is still under active investigation, with investigators working to determine the involvement of the three individuals and if they are all connected to the shooting.
"Our investigators are currently working to determine the involvement of all three individuals and if they are all connected to this shooting," the release noted. "The juvenile was located on scene. The two adults were located at the hospital, and we are working to confirm their connection to the juvenile and the MLK scene."
Officers will be clearing the scene shortly, and a report will be generated, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
