In a harrowing episode of violence late Wednesday evening, Sacramento Police Department responded to reports of a shooting near Rainbow Market, resulting in a total of seven victims.

At approximately 10:34 p.m., officers arrived on the scene in the 1600 block of Grand Ave, where they found one adult with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Soon after, another adult victim was located in the 3900 block of Elm Ave, similarly wounded, and was immediately transported to a local hospital.

Adding to the toll, five other adults arrived independently at the same hospital, each also suffering non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The Sacramento Police Department continues its investigation into this unsettling incident. The identities of the victims and potential suspects have yet to be released, as law enforcement digs deeper into the circumstances surrounding this alarming event.
