SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento Police Department and the Sacramento Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of a shooting incident following reports received at approximately 9:35 P.M. local time. The incident took place in the vicinity of Sunland Liquor on Del Paso Boulevard.

In a preliminary statement, police officials revealed that officers promptly responded to the 2300 Block of Fairfield Street after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered evidence of gunfire and were informed that multiple individuals had sustained gunshot wounds. Currently, law enforcement officers are still present at the scene, working diligently to ascertain further details regarding the incident. No additional information is available at this time.

According to unofficial reports, among the victims is an infant who was grazed across the forehead by a bullet while in the mother's arms. Encouragingly, the baby is said to be in good condition and displaying no apparent distress. No updates have been provided regarding the condition of the other victims involved.

The circumstances leading to the shooting and the identities of the victims remain unknown as authorities continue their investigation. Law enforcement agencies are urging anyone with relevant information about the incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing inquiry.
