SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — A shooting incident occurred on Tuesday at around 11:30 a.m. in East Sacramento near the Motel 6 at 30th and N Streets, according to police reports.

Police officers who arrived at the scene found the victim in the area of O Street and 30th Street. The victim suffered gunshot wounds to the pinky finger and buttocks and was taken to the hospital by paramedic ambulance.

Police have cordoned off a crime scene in the area as they investigate the incident along with crime scene investigators.

It appears that one vehicle was hit in the bumper, but no further injuries were reported.

The police have not yet identified any suspects or made any arrests related to the shooting incident.

The victim's condition is unknown at this time.

The Sacramento Police Department reported the following in a prepared statement Tuesday afternoon:

Just after 11:30 am, officers responded to 30th St/O St for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located one adult male victim with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local area hospital to be treated. No suspects are in custody. This is an active investigation and we have no further at this time.
