UPDATE ON ARREST IN SUSPICIOUS DEATH INVESTIGATION ON ROSEBURG COURT

Homicide Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Tyrone Gregory (61) of Sacramento. Gregory was arrested on December 18, 2022 and was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for PC 192(a), Voluntary Manslaughter. No suspects are outstanding in this case. No further information is available at this time.

On Sunday, December 18, 2022, at approximately 1:40 a.m., the Sacramento Metro Fire Department responded to a residence on Roseburg Court in Sacramento County, regarding a structure fire. After rendering the structure safe, Fire Department personnel discovered a deceased male inside. Three other residents were inside at the time of the fire, but were able to escape and survived.

Arson Investigators, Sacramento County Sheriff Homicide Detectives, and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene, interviewed witnesses, and gathered evidence. No further information is available at this time.

Just after 1a.m. Sunday, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department crews responded to multiple reports of a residential structure fire in the 9400 block of Roseburg Cout in Rancho Cordova.

Capt Parker Wilbourn stated via Twitter, "Crews arrived to heavy fire coming from the front of the home, four victims were inside at the time.

Two were able to self-rescue, crews located and rescued a victim, and we’re heartbroken to report the last victim succumbed to fatal injuries. The fire is under investigation."
