About 1:30 A.M. Thursday, California Highway Patrol officers at the Capitol reported a vehicle accident in front of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, adjacent to the Capitol Building.
The, obviously inebriated and stumbling, female driver slammed into the back of a full-size SUV at the intersection of L and 12th Streets.
Too impaired to engage in a field sobriety test, the driver of the sedan was taken into custody and placed in the back of the Sacramento Police cruiser.
The occupants of the SUV were sore, but otherwise uninjured and refused paramedic transport to the hospital.
