On 10/30/22 just before 12:30 pm, officers responded to the area of Tri stations rd and Roseville Rd. for reports of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision, a spokesperson for the Sacramento Police Department stated.

Upon arrival, officers located the pedestrian, an adult female, with major injuries and rendered emergency medical aid. Despite these efforts, the pedestrian was later pronounced deceased at the scene by responding fire department personnel.

The involved motorist remained at the scene and was cooperative. The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available Sac PD said.

There have been several fatal auto versus pedestrian incidents on this stretch of Roseville road this year.

One of my biggest fears is having a transient dart in front of my car and me not seeing them in time to stop psn facebook follower Evelyn Figeroid stated Sunday.

When I know I am passing through an area where they are prevalent I always feel anxious and slow down.

So many seem to be unaware and step right out into the busy street or behind a backing car. It happens far too often these days.

Roseville road was closed between Tristations Road and Longview Drive, in both directions, while the incident was being investigated.
